I like compiling and sharing resources to help people with
#MakerCenteredLearning and #MakerSpace and #MakerMindset.
Every space is different, every child is different, every teacher is different.
Here are some ideas for you :
Converting images ... we often need to convert to an SVG to bring drawing or images into Tinkercad or Cricut/Cameo or laser software (though some laser software will do the converting). Here are two sites that people like :
convertio and svgcreator
Convertio has a daily limit .... svgcreator has popup ads
Some talk about LowCostLowTech materials
Some #3Dprinting ideas.... accessories you will need to go with your printer.
Some might already be included in your printer package
A variety of lists...some are old some are recent.
Lists are to get you thinking, not necessarily to go shopping with

These are to give you ideas to get you thinking and creating :

1) Our Favorite Low Cost materials
cardboard, paper towel tubes, toilet paper tubes, various other recyclables, plastic/paper cups, paper, paper plates, straws & coffee stirrers, string, yarn, cotton balls, craft sticks, toothpicks, foam (even pool noodles from dollar store), various tape, repurposed cloth/fabrics. I would include coroplast if you can get free (election signs). I think LED's and batteries are great items also. (LED's ~ $10/500 , batteries ~$20/100 on amazon)... a longer list of low cost/low tech materials
(see Low Cost Low Tech page for more thoughts)
2) Cardboard tools....one of the best (& usually free) maker materials, especially for early prototyping
But you need tools to work with it best
Cardboard
3) A list of books for your spaces (yes plural, remember MakerSpace is more than just a room in your building).
Some of the books are for teachers, some for students and some for projects.
MakerSpaceBooks
4) A list of materials, supplies and tool ideas for your spaces. This is broken down by No Cost, Low Cost, and Budget Busters.
SupplyList
5) A list of materials/supplies/tools in A to Z form ... everything is a material
MaterialsAtoZ
6)) This is a list of materials to do some Physical Computing & Robotics. I often do not use everything that is included in "kits" from companies and I think some of the kits are over priced. So I tried to think of what I would like in a kit.

this probably needs updating
